Jack is being questioned by Mills, a newspaper editor, regarding a dairy blag which happened 5 years previously.

Mills has a man called Noah Riley on tape confessing to being the third man in the blag and alleging conspiracy against Jack. Jack explains to George that he thinks the other two men, Ernie Davies and Dennis Woods, are using Noah to put the finger on him and set him up as they have both just been released from prison.

Noah is being kept in a hotel by another newspaper man, Thomas. He is trying to get Noah to sign a statement for the newspaper giving them exclusive rights.

Jack goes to see Noah's mother but she hasn't seen him for days.

Jack and George go to the pub where Woods and Davies are having their coming out party but they get more than they bargained for when they are set upon and kicked unconscious.

Haskins orders Jack to tell him what he's doing getting dockets out for cases over 5 years old and when he refuses Haskins gives him till 09:00 the next morning to tell him or he'll be suspended but he does give him the latest address of Woods.

Back at the hotel Noah holds a cutthroat to Thomas's throat & demands to be allowed to ring his mother.

Jack goes looking for Hooter, an accomplice of Woods and Davies, to see if he will give him any more information but he is afraid that Woods and Davies will get him if he sags anything. He does say, however, that they have the use of a mini cab owned by Manny Bellow so he pays him a visit. He tells him that his company is legitimate but Jack realises that he is the third man.

Noah finally gets through to his mother and gives her a clue to his whereabouts by saying he's in four star comfort. She immediately rings Jack at the factory and he tells George to get on to Companies House and find out all Manny's interests.

At the taxi yard, Davies is demanding the two thirds of the blag money that Manny had been sitting on since the robbery. Manny says he'll have to wait as it's all tied up in assets but Davies wants the money on Friday.

Jack rings George from Noah's mothers house & tells him to ring all the four star hotels and ask security if there are two people in a room drinking copious amounts of Vodka. Noah's poison. !

George finds the hotel and tells Jack who now has to give Woods and Davies the slip as they've been following him for days. He does this and Woods and Davies decide to take Noah's mother as insurance. Jack and George burst into Noah's room and says that if it's a choice between Jack and his mother it's an easy choice. Jack tells him to stay in the room and write nothing and he will arrange to have his mother looked after by the police. Noah has other plans and gives Thomas the slip.

At the taxi yard Davies demands the keys to a car to transfer Mrs. Riley but Danny, Manny's son, throws them over the wall.

On finding Mrs. Riley had been abducted Jack and George realise they must have gone to the taxi yard. Jack rings Haskins and asks him to call the troops to the taxi yard. As Davies opens the doors to drive away the squad arrive in force and after a struggle both Woods and Davies are arrested.
