UNLEASHES THE BEAST
An
excellent 4 page review with 15 colour pictures.
How
does 240 mph, 0 to 60 in less than 3 seconds, 800 bhp @ 7,250 &
882 Nm of torque @ 5,750 sound ? Well it's a bit over the top
for popping to Tesco or collecting the kid from school but then it
was hardly designed for that, was it.
Surprisingly,
with a price tag in excess of £150,000, the order books are beginning
to bulge. Well they're into double figures. As I reported
in a recent bulletin, members of The Prodigy have paid their deposit
as has the Sultan of Brunei. Mind you, £150k to him is like
us fumbling in our pockets for 23p for a packet of Rollos.
As
is the norm with cars of this magnitude, Peter will have to vet potential
customers on the track.
Climbing
in is difficult enough but the production models will have an additional
side impact bar making things even harder. No short skirts
in this one boys er... girls.
The
choice of gearbox is a secret at the moment. To me, this means
they have finally sorted out their 6 speed sequential jobbie.
To
be built at a rate of one a month from January 1998, the first offerings
will be for the International GT championship with poor punters having
to to wait for their road versions.
