Droopy seatbelts, aka a seatbelt that doesn’t retract properly, is a common sight now for Cerbera owners. You can see in this photo it’s gathering on the floor in the rear footwell. A temporary solution is to spray the belt with furniture polish, but after a while it soon reverts back.
The issue I am told is age, plus the retractor now not doing its job properly.
I finally got a chance to fix this. I was lucky enough to source an original oem in the box belt for the passenger side; and for the drivers side, I sent it off for service to Quickfit Safety Belt Service, who replaced the webbing and retractor.
Note: if you’re doing this, be sure to state you want a 30° retractor.
Another ticked off the list, no more droop !
